About

WHO WE ARE?

CALABAR magazine is a bi-monthly lifestyle publication about Brooklyn home décor, fashion, culture and the arts. It explores people and places of this unique borough through the lenses of some of its resident writers. We are published by Calabar Imports.

WHAT WE DO?

CALABAR magazine is a brand extension of the Prospect Heights-based shop, CALABAR IMPORTS, located on Washington Avenue and owned by Atim Annette Oton and Heloise Annette Oton. The magazine spotlights home décor and fashion people, practices and places in a print magazine. (And of course, we are online at (http://www.calabarmag.com)

WHY WE DO IT?

CALABAR serves a significant expanding market of fashionable Brooklynites whose lifestyle revolves around home, work and family. A customized experience, it is a must-have resource for a rapidly expanding diverse community. It provides a select mix of consumer articles, topical issues and unique information for men and women in Brooklyn.

HOW WE SERVE?

We serve seven communities of Brooklyn: Prospect Heights, Bedford Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, Flatbush, Fort Greene, Clinton Hills, and Park Slope.
